SBIR Intro and NIH Tips & Common Mistakes

This session will provide an overview of the federally funded Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs and will discuss the support available to Virginia based applicants. 11 federal agencies award almost $3B in SBIR and STTR funding annually to develop high risk, innovative, high payoff technology that meets their agency missions. Virginia based/headquartered companies can utilize support provided by VIPC to help with strategy, proposal development, and other support. We’ll discuss this support at the session! An NIH rep will also be on hand to discuss the NIH specific SBIR/STTR programs and their over $1B available in SBIR/STTR.
