You’ll never be bored
In Blacksburg you’ll find plenty of ways to unwind, relax, and have fun when you’re off the clock. Enjoy thriving arts and culture, ample outdoor adventures, and a safe, welcoming community.
Arts & Culture
Arts and culture, quirky local events, and beautiful outdoor spaces, Blacksburg has something for everyone. Enjoy world-class performances at the Moss Center, spend an afternoon in an art gallery, or take in a show at the historic Lyric Theatre. If local events are more your thing, you’ll love having a calendar full of unique community events, folk music, and a bustling downtown full of one-of-a-kind finds.
Outdoor Adventures
Have your next big adventure without ever leaving town. Nestled between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains, the scenic landscape of Blacksburg is breathtaking. Hike along the Appalachian trail, bike in Jefferson National Forest, or kayak down the New River. Looking for a more leisurely pace? Stroll through a community park or a nearby golf course. There’s plenty of opportunities to hit the trails (or the links) in Blacksburg.
Jason Feifer was the keynote speaker at Game Changer Week in 2022.
The disc golf course has 9 holes within the park. BYOD (bring your own discs.)
Disc Golf Course On Site
We take fun seriously, which is why we have our own disc golf course. Disc golf is like traditional golf, but is played with a flying disc, or Frisbee® instead of balls or clubs. The VTCRC’s disc golf course is open to the community and winds its way through phase I of the research park.
