This Beginner’s series is an invitation to those who are interested in starting a practice of yoga but not sure how to start. Through the 4 hour long classes over the course of a month we will explore the fundamental poses found in a typical yoga class. You will learn the correct alignment of each pose, as well as modifications and the use of props to help enhance your experience of each pose (or “asana”). We will explore simple movement sequences to help warm the body and give you the experience of flow. At the end of the series, you will have developed both the understanding and confidence to continue on at In Balance with the opportunity to study with a wide range of gifted and talented teachers.
This series is designed for those who are new to yoga, as well as those who are looking to fine tune some of the fundamental poses found in any typical yoga class.
