We’re hosting these every month to help us make connections and have casual conversations covering various topics about jobs, mentor requests, and everything in between. This month, join us for a discussion on strategies for successful career transitions with Christine Harriger. Christine is a career counselor with over 27 years’ experience in the career services profession including numerous universities as well as the USDA and the military Transition Assistance Program. Christine recently served as the Director of Career Development & Life Design at Hollins University and the Director of Career Development at Randolph College. Christine has extensive knowledge in career counseling and has worked at George Mason University, James Madison University, Western Carolina University and the University of Richmond. Christine earned an M.Ed. in Counselor Education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she also worked in the career center.
Christine began her career working at Search & Recruit, International, where she helped military personnel transition to the civilian sector. She also counseled former military in the TAP program at Fort Lee. As a former military spouse, Christine has an affinity for helping the military population and continues to help individuals through Career View, LLC, her private career counseling practice.
Christine is well respected as a career professional and has served as the President of the Virginia Association of Colleges & Employers and the President of Virginia Career Development Association.
