Student Pitch Party!

September 13 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Student Pitch Party | Virginia Tech (startuptree.co)

Calling all students:  Got a startup concept and looking for $ and advice?  Just want to see what’s being launched at Virginia Tech and meet other students with a shared passion for entrepreneurship?  The Pitch Party event is for you!

Come pitch your startup concept for a shot at $10,000 in total prizes and feedback from experienced mentors!

While all members of the New River Valley ecosystem are welcome to attend, this event is designed for higher education students who aspire to create positive impact through their innovative startup concepts.

The “pitch party” competition encourages and celebrates entrepreneurial thinking, providing students a unique opportunity to gain exposure, receive valuable feedback, and possibly secure funding for their concepts.

How to apply:  For more information on how to apply, details of the competition and deadlines, visit the Pitch Party application page on Startup Tree.  Application deadline: 11:59pm on Sunday 9/9/24.

How to attend:  The public (including students as well as regional supporters and non-students) are invited to attend to the pitch party from 2 – 4 p.m in Lane Stadium on the 13th.  Everyone is welcome, all years, all academic colleges and majors.  Just show up!

About the Pitch Party event:

Regional partners, including the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, Apex Center for Entrepreneurs at Virginia Tech, faculty from the Pamplin College of Business’s Department of Management, and leaders in the regional entrepreneurship ecosystem are investing in this amazing event to support student-led entrepreneurial concepts.

The pitch competition is centered around the UN Sustainability Goals.  Students are free to focus on any one of these 17 large-scale challenges to compete for a chance at receiving prize money.

The community and students’ peers can also be involved with judging via voting live on their favorite student team for a People’s Choice Award!
