Tech on Tap: AI Tap Takeover with PMI SWVA

Join your favorite tech community at RBTC’s Tech on Tap: Tap Takeover. Starting this year, RBTC is giving the beloved social event ‘Tech on Tap’ a twist by bringing a barstool speaker element to the beloved series that connects the tech community at a post-workday social.  The series will start and end with networking.  Each event will cover a wide variety of true technology topics (by popular demand!) so folks can arrive early and mingle before the 20 min presentation and hang in the back of the crowd to hear the topic of the month from a stellar speaker with just a mic on a barstool.

To kick off the new year,  RBTC and PMI SWVA Chapter will partner to host Joel Yonts at this month’s “Tap Takeover” in Roanoke.  Yonts is a seasoned security executive with more than 30 years of technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence experience. His credentials include active certifications in digital forensics, incident response, malware reverse engineering, application penetration, security leadership, ethical hacking, and artificial intelligence engineering. Yonts has more than 15 years of experience building and leading multi-national Fortune 500 cyber programs as an executive CISO. His contributions to the research community include fundamental research in protecting emerging platforms and mapping future attack strategies of cyber adversaries. His newly published book, Secure Intelligent Machines: Protecting AI from Cyberattack, expands the boundaries of traditional cyber programs by merging leading AI risk mitigation insights with decades of practical cybersecurity experience.
