Quality Control Technician 1
TechLab, Inc. develops, manufactures and distributes medical diagnostic tests. This company places emphasis on science and collaboration with Universities. We are looking to add a Quality Control Technician 1 to our team.
An employee in this position can expect to perform the following duties:
• Perform predispense and final quality control testing
• Perform incoming chemical and non-chemical raw material testing
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Perform in-process testing of membrane devices
• Perform verification of coded foil labels
• Work with biological samples
• Utilize good aseptic technique in the lab
• Report quality problems to manager/designee
• Manage and record component retentions
• Perform water testing for both Blacksburg and Radford facilities
• Stay up to date with required readings
• Comply with all safety regulations
• Calibrate pH meter and conductivity meter
• Perform stability testing
• Perform mathematical calculations
• Test all kit components per product release standards (bioburden, functionality, physical characteristics)
