Born out of a need to translate Virginia Tech research to commercial potential, the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center (VTCRC) was established in Blacksburg in 1985. Since then, it has been home to over 750 premier organizations with a common goal to disrupt industries. Today, with operations across Virginia, the research park continues to be a destination for growth and a space with purpose.

From helping launch businesses in their idea phase to supporting established companies, the VTCRC along with eco-system stakeholders work together toward the overall goal of nurturing a thriving entrepreneurial environment.

The companies that have made us their home have done so for an array of reasons. It’s all about community, curiosity, and collision. So, what does that mean?

  • Community: The VTCRC cultivates a vibrant community of creative individuals that support one another.
  • Curiosity: The VTCRC embraces intellectual curiosity and encourages the desire to grow and learn.
  • Collision: The VTCRC promotes the collision of ideas and innovators to disrupt industries.

Along with the critical resources and amazing amenities, the enterprise which extends to Tech Center Research Park in Newport News, VA, focuses on providing companies with state-of-the-art facilities so they can conduct research, develop bold technologies, and create solutions to world problems within our #SpaceWithPurpose.
